A complete but worn Medieval copper-alloy oval buckle frame with offset and narrowed bar, Meols type 6.
It is D-shaped in section with a rectangular expanded outer edge. The back face is undecorated. The copper-alloy pin is still present. It tapers to a point and has an open loop.
This buckle measures 15.95mm in length, 16.43mm in width, 2.14mm in thickness and 1.05g in weight.
There is a similar example from London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991, p. 73, no. 294) and recorded on the PAS database (KENT-3C2CE1). However, no direct parallels could be found.
