Incomplete Roman copper alloy centre-looped cosmetic pestle, both ends of the round-edged rod and the upper part of the loop missing. All three breaks are recent. The extremely thin loop is broken across the very small eye. Extant length 39.7mm. Thickness 5.3mm. Thickness of loop at the break 1mm. The diameter of the eye is uncertain but probably does not exceed 3mm. Weight 7.52g. c.43 - c.200 AD.
