TREASURE CASE 2014 T198: A complete gold finger ring of uncertain date. The finger ring is comprised of a plain circular band which is rectangular in section. The finger ring is undecorated and appears crudely made with the band being of varying irregular width along its circumference.
Such simple plain rings cannot be readily dated due to a lack of diagnostic features.
Dimensions: Dimensions: 17mm diameter external and 15mm internal, the band varies from 3.5-4mm wide and is 0.7-0.8mm thick, weight: 2.5g.
Notes:
There is no evidence to securely date this ring, it is undiagnostic in nature and therefore falls outside the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
