Incomplete probably Roman unidentified copper alloy object, rectangular, flat-sectioned with a perforation at both ends and one in the centre. Each perforation is flanked by pairs of notches on the outer edges. The decoration on both faces comprises an engraved bordering line around the perforations, and, between the perforations, two engraved double-line saltires bordered by twin transverse lines. At one end of the object is the stump of a slightly narrowed projection. Surviving length 44mm. Width 10mm. 2mm thick. Weighs 6.33g. c.43-c.409 AD.
