Incomplete arm, probably from a folding balance, rounded perforated rectangular-sectioned terminal tapering and then expanding again to become rectangular-sectioned at a right-angle to the terminal, before the break. Bent, oblique file marks overall, iron corrosion in perforation. Surviving length (unbent) 78mm. Width at terminal 6mm. Thickness at terminal 1.5mm. Cf. Biddle (1990), fig.284. 13th-14th century.
