Fragment of a probably medieval iron rotary key, an oval bow angled externally at the proximal end and a short length of the hollow shank. Width of bow 38mm. Ward Perkins 1940, Type II or III. Goodall, I.H. in Biddle 1990, Type 3 or 4. The form of the bow is similar to that of Ward Perkins 1940, pl. XXX no. 33. 13th - 15th century.
