An incomplete cast copper-alloy object of uncertain date. It has a semi-circular plate that is possibly incomplete at its base and has a central semi-circular notch. At the apex of the semi-circle is an integrally cast loop that is circular in form with central circular aperture, missing its upper edge due to old breaks. Both faces of the object have identical punched decoration between the semi-circular notch and loop, comprising five ring and dots arranged in a cross motif. It measures 24.25mm in length, 22.37mm in width, 1.36mm in thickness and 2.55g in weight.
The precise function of this object remains uncertain. The presence of decoration on both faces suggests possible usage as a pendant, strap fitting or similar decorative item. Precisely when it dates to also remains unclear, and it could date to any point from the Roman through Medieval periods.
