A copper alloy Early Medieval strap end dating from the 9th century of Thomas Class A type 2. It is a flat plate with convex sides, broken at the attachment end. The closed end terminal is decorated with traverse ridges rather than being clearly zoomorphic. The main body is decorated with a geometric pattern of three ovals of concentric lines. The metal has a smooth mottled brown and green patina.
