A post-medieval cast copper-alloy mount or stud. The plate is shaped into a six-petalled flower with six round petals surrounding a circular centre. The petals and centre and are shallowly raised. The back is flat apart from slight indents in the centre of each petal. From the centre of the back projects a square sectioned attachment spike. It tapers evenly towards the tip. The mount measures 13.5mm by 13.4mm, is 1.7mm thick excluding the spike, 8.1mm including it, and weighs 1.33 grams. It has corroded to a red-brown colour with some traces of light-green and off-white corrosion product.
