A fragment of a cast copper alloy cooking vessel of Medieval date, circa AD1250-1600. The fragment is a pot leg probably from a cooking vessel such as a skillet or posnet. The fragment is irregular in plan and profile. The top of the fragment has a concave surface which is from the base of the cooking vessel. The leg, which has a sub square section, protrudes from underneath. The exterior side of the leg flares out towards the foot. The base of the foot is flat and sub-square. The pot leg has an uneven mid / dark green colour. The surfaces of the pot leg are worn due to movement in the plough soil. The breaks are not new.
