A Post Medieval lead alloy musket ball dating from c. AD 1600 - 1800. The item was originally spherical in form; one half of the musket ball has become flattened and mis-shapen, possibly as a result of surface impact or it may have been deliberately cut in order to have a more devastating effect upon impact. There are linear striations visible on the flattened surface which may be cut marks. The patina is whitish- gray in colour.
