METAL WORKING DEBRIS

Unique ID: NLM-C7E1B4

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

Ferrous Slag or cinder: Metalworking Waste. A lump of dense vesicular material, probably solidified during tapping. This material is unfortunately lighter than meteoric iron, and the finder's kind suggestion of an extra-terrestial origin is considered improbable by this reporter. Suggested date: Unknown, 200BC- AD 1500.
