A Post Medieval lead alloy weight dating from c. AD 1540- c. AD 1900. The object weighs 125g, so it was probably originally intended as a six ounce weight. The item is conical in overall shape; the base is circular with a slightly rounded concave face. The sides taper towards the top. The top of the object is flat and circular in plan. A circular perforation runs through the whole length of the object. Presumably strong twine or wire was pushed through the hole for attachment to weighing scales and/or storage. Diameter of base: 28mm; Diameter at top: 15mm; length: 25.5mm.
