A complete cast copper allopy object. The rectangular mid section, 12mm x 8mm x 2.5mm, has an off centre hole 4mm in diameter. One end is triangular in plan and circular in cross-section is 12mm long and roughly 5mm in diameter, apparently mis-shapen thorugh use. The other end is forked, 15mm long and 10mm wide at the bifurcated, pointed ends.
This is probably the end of a pipe tamper. A reddish-brown patina suggests a post-medieval date.
