Early Anglo-Saxon copper-alloy side knob from a cruciform brooch, full-round (oval-sectioned, 10.5mm x 9.5mm) with broad transverse groove and narrow groove on inner part, narrow knop on terminal, longitudinal perforation contains corroded remains of iron pin bar visible at both ends. Groove on inside face to fit against head-plate. Length 13mm. Weighs 4.96g. Dates to c. AD 450-480.
