A complete copper alloy buckle dating to the early post medieval period, c. AD 1485 to 1600.
The object is D-shaped in plan and the frame widens on the curve. At the apex of the curve are three lateral incised lines, one of which may have acted as a pin rest. The pin bar is slightly recessed and narrower than the rest of the frame. Part of the pin is still present.
