A copper alloy probable hinge component of Medieval or Post Medieval date. The object is a sheet of copper alloy which i sub-rectangular. It is broken at one end and tapers from the break to the complete end which terminates by stepping narrower and bending backwards into a loop. The plate is 1.2mm thick and there is no evidence of attachment (this was probably on the part now missing). The plate is also bent. The hinge is undecorated but has a smooth green patina. It can be compared to YORYM-0ED0B2 and SUSS-6A0E47 and may be part of a hinge from a box or casket.
