A lead alloy weight of Medieval, Post Medieval or Modern date, about AD 1200 - 1900. It is a sub spherical weight with a flat base (sugar loaf shaped). The base is concave in the centre and has a small rounded hole in the very centre. It has a mass of 441g which is 15 and a half oz, so was probably originally a 1lb weight. The metal has a cream coloured patina. Compare FAKL-44C4B7.
