Five fragmentary silver pennies.

Coin 1. A broken and clipped fragment of a silver penny of Stephen (1135-54); 'Watford' type (North 873); moneyer: no longer survives on coin; mint: London; c. 1136-45. Approximately 60% of the coin survives.

Reverse: [ ]ON:LV[ ]

Weight: 0.78 g; dimensions: 14 x 12 mm; die axis: 270o.

Coin 2. A very worn and fragmentary silver penny of Stephen (1135-54); 'Watford' type (North 873); moneyer: Sihtric (possibly); mint: illegible but possibly Norwich; c. 1136-45. The coin is in two pieces; c.80-90% of the coin survives..

Reverse: +SITRIC:ON:[ ] (possibly; SIT not certain)

Weight: 1.28 g; diameter: 20 mm; die axis: 90o

Coin 3-5 fused. Combined weight: 2.75 g.

3. Fused to coins 4. A complete and very worn silver penny of Stephen (1135-54); 'Watford' type (North 873); moneyer: illegible; mint: Northampton; c. 1136-45. The coin is in two pieces.

Obverse: illegible. Most of the obverse is fused to coin 4.

Reverse: [ ]ON:NORh

Diameter: 20 mm; die axis: unknown.

4. Fused to coins 3 and 5. A complete and very worn silver penny of Stephen (1135-54); probably 'Watford' type (North 873); mint and moneyer unknown (reverse fused to coin 3); c. 1136-45.

Reverse: not visible.

5. Fused to coin 4. A very small triangular fragment of a silver coin; ruler uncertain. No details are visible on the coin.
