Description: A Post-Medieval silver finger-ring with a plain outer hoop. The inner hoop bears the inscription 'MY = HART = YOU = HAVE' in upper-case letters. There are a series of decorative horizontal lines in between the words of the inscription. The ring is formed from a single band which does not join.
Dimensions: Weight: 2.6 g, Diameter: 22.3 mm
Discussion: A similar finger-ring with the upper-case inscription 'MY HART YOV HAVE' can be found at SOM-914708 (2013 T76) and was dated to 16th to 17th century.
Conclusion: This object is made from at least 10% precious metal and is over 300 years old and therefore qualifies as Treasure as defined by the Treasure Act 1996.
