An incomplete lead alloy object probably dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object is sub-rectangular in plan and rectangular in cross-section. One face of the object is stamped with a shield shaped stamp bearing a lion rampant left above which are the initials W I. A sub-rectangular perforation has been punched through the object at one corner of the shield. The rear of the object is stamped with five hearts irregularly spaced. The object has a mid white patina and is worn. The exact function of the object is unknown however it may have been a piece of lead waste which was used as a practice piece.
