The find consists of a bar of rectangular section, hammered along its sides and ends; length, 53.1mm; width, 15.1mm; weight, 29.96 grams. Surface metal analysis conducted at the British Museum identified the metal as a stainless steel, so it does not qualify as Treasure under the stipulated criteria of the Treasure Act.
