Post-medieval copper alloy button with remains of an embedded iron loop. The clockwise impeller is depicted by engraved lines, punched dots and punched circles and part circles. Similar to (but larger than) Read 2005, no. 323. However, in this example the blades are infilled with closely spaced oblique lines rather than dots. Both faces are slightly convex. Diameter 24mm. Thickness (of head only) 2.8mm. 17th century.
