A large round copper alloy ring, which might be part of a horse harness, or could be, because of it's size more possibly a suspension ring for a cauldron, or a tethering ring.
It is circular in shape with a round section of 7.5mm, thinning to 6.5mm in certain places, suggesting wear. It is difficult to ascribe a particular period to this piece. Possibly Iron Age to Medieval.
See WILT-D31115 and WHM-1530
