Thirty-nine sherds of Middle Saxon Ipswich ware in the full "spectrum" of fabrics of fine sandy to coarse gritty / pimply (Blinkhorn 2012, 9), eight basal and four jar rim, the remainder body. One of the latter is stamped with closely spaced annular impressions, diameter 6mm (ibid., 56). Weight 728g. c.720 - c.850 AD.
One body sherd, perhaps Middle Saxon, hard, sandy, very dark grey, probably hand-built, weight 9g.
On previous occasions since July 2009, 1064 sherds of Ipswich ware (weight 18.047kg) have been recorded from this site, all found by a householder while gardening in a vegetable patch (see NMS-949D38, NMS-5D3838 and NMS-BCEE47).
