A Post Medieval lead-alloy musket ball, dating from c.AD 1600 to c.1800. The musket ball is 'banded' i.e. it is flattened in a band around the circumference. There are pronounced linear striations at right angles to the band, caused as the ball travelled down the gun barrel. One end is flattened, probably as a result of impact after firing.
