A rolled cylindrical lead-alloy weight of probable medieval to post-Medieval date.
The weight has been constructed from sheet metal, with a single fold to create a simple oval aperture . The weight has been lightly crushed and has a matt greyish white patina.Length 21.65 mm. Width 16.39 mm. Thickness 9.61 mm. Weight 14 grams.
It would seem plausable that this type of weight was used for the weighting of nets for small game or fish.
