Medieval copper alloy buckle. Incomplete oval frame with off-set, narrowed bar, the outside edge expanded to form three lobes, each with a separate dome-headed rivet. One rivet is missing with the frame broken across the rivet hole. One side, pin and most of bar missing. Traces of gilding. Measuring (reconstructed) 27 x 28.5mm. For a similar, complete example, see Whitehead (2003, 24, no.110). 13th - 14th century.
