Post Medieval (mid 16th to 17th centuries) toy jug: An incomplete lead alloy miniature toy jug which is cast in a two piece mould as the seam is still visible along the side. The toy consists of a circular base with an abraded foot ring, and an incomplete bulbous container element. The exterior of which is undecorated. The rim is missing. The surface has a matte grey patina, and where there is damage it slightly flakes and is a light grey colour. It measures 16.49mm long, 25.72mm wide, and weighs 4.2g.

Toy jugs, as well as other miniature everyday items, were mass produced during Medieval and Post-medieval periods. This example probably dates to the mid 16th to 17th centuries.
