Lead alloy toy, part of a toy pistol. Cast plate with a framed lettered panel on which one character is suspected and the letter R appears clearly, with an adjacent panel framed by close set pellets. This may be from near the representation of the lock plate of a pistol at the change in angle between hand grip and barrel. Iron staining may suggest the proximity of ferrous metal parts, now lost. Patinated overall. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1750-1850.
