An incomplete copper alloy Post-Medieval sword belt fitting. The plate is long and narrow in form. One end curves outwards with a small semi-circular notch in the centre. The other end is undulating, curving inwards at either side and outwards in the centre. Both sides curve inwards slightly. The upper face is decorated with a raised floral and scrollwork motif that is now quite worn and corroded. Extending from one side is a large circular loop. According to Geake (2001, 35) such fittings 'proliferate in the 16th and 17th centuries'.
