A fragment of a ceramic vessel of medieval date. The fragment is from a shallow plate or dish and is triangular in plan. The two longer sides taper into a shallow basin and are joined by a rim containing a raised lip on the interior side and an everted rim on the exterior surface. The fabric is very hard and a pale grey to off-white colour with a pale grey surface. Abundant fine sand and sparse mica inclusions are present within the fabric.
The fragment is 70.9mm long, 57.6mm wide, 18.9mm thick and weighs 44.5g.
