A copper alloy buckle frame dating to the period AD 1660 to 1720.
The buckle is sub-rectangular in plan with curved corners. There is some moulded decoration on the short sides however this is quite unclear. The spindle is missing but there is some iron corrosion where it would have been attached.
This buckle is a Marshall (1986: 17 - 18) Type V.
