A copper alloy sheet repair patch for a copper alloy vessel or handle attachment plate for an object such as a skimmer: The patch/plate is sub-trapezoidal in plan, but has been crumpled and torn so the original shape is uncertain. There are four circular perforations measuring between 3.85mm and 2.92mm diameter along one edge. The patch/plate has a well developed mottled dark green shiny patina. It measures 71.21mm long, 35.71mm wide, 1.2mm thick and weighs 15.6g. Originally attached to a plate, and since has fallen off is a copper alloy rivet which has a circular sectioned shaft and hammered flat terminals. The rivet measures 5.4mm long, 5.22mm wide and weighs 0.5g.

The repair or plate probably dates to the Medieval to early Post Medieval period, 13th to 16th century. A similar skimmer plate is illustrated in Egan, No. 439.
