An incomplete copper alloy composite dress hook, Read (2008) Class C type 3. The plate is hollow and semicircular in section with narrow flange to either side, with a convex front-plate decorated with a cross-hatched panel inlaid with niello with a transverse niello line above and below. A circular sectioned rearward facing hook protrudes from the base. The back-plate is incomplete, and the upper edge of the front-plate is broken. Length 28mm. Width 14.5mm. Cf.
