Incomplete Early Saxon copper alloy bow brooch, either small long or cruciform. Head-plate decorated with a triangular arrangement of three double ring-and-dots, damaged narrow rectangular wings and integral half-round knobs with traces of three vertical inner lines and broad groove, upper knob missing. There is a rectangular panel and triangular facets at both ends of the shallow D-sectioned bow, the lower one broken where the foot is missing, remains of transverse lines on both. The bow is pitted by corrosion with the remains of four longitudinal median lines. On the reverse of the head-plate are stumps of two widely spaced lugs both broken across the perforation. Head-plate height 15mm. Width 11.5mm. Width including wings 18mm. Width including surviving knops 32mm. Total surviving length 36mm. Weighs 7.53g. Late 5th-early 6th century.
