Silver thimble. Sheet metal domed thimble beaten over a former. The lower wall bore a ground of closely spaced diagonal ridges, with a circumferential groove half way up the wall. Over this were soldered leaves and flowers, in an originally continuous band. The upper wall is occupied by fine machine stamped pits, which continue on a spiral arrangement on the domed top. Now crumpled. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1825-1875.
