A lead alloy musket ball of Post Medieval date, about 1600 - 1800. It is sub-spherical and there is no visible casting seam nor sprue. Two concave areas may indicate that the ball was fired with buckshot or in hailshot. There are also post depositional scratches. The ball has a well developed cream patina. The weight suggests it was for use in a small musket (Harding 2012, Lead Shot of the English Civil War, page 31).
