A cast lead head. The item has been broken off at the neck and may have been part of a figurine, or possibly a mount of some sort. The most prominent feature of the head is its curling hairstyle which sits against each side of the face in circular curls. The eyes of the figure are very large giving it an appearance that is reminiscent of Asian art styles. This item is likely to be medieval in date.
