Medieval long cross penny, very probably of Edward IV (1461-70, and 1471-83). It has a rose at the centre of the cross on the reverse, indicating the Durham mint, and in addition one pellet is visible above the left hand side of the crown on the obverse, also suggesting Durham. Type IV. The coin is badly worn.
