Sherd from lower part of a medieval pottery vessel, including part of the base and the wall of the pot. The base is flat. The wall of the vessel extends upwards from the base at an angle of approximately 45 degrees, suggesting a wide, shallow vessel (probably a bowl). The fabric is grey in cross-section with reddish brown surfaces. Contains fine stone (?) inclusions. The sherd measures 42.3mm long by 41.5mm high, and 8.8mm thick at base. It weighs 20.27g.
