Silver wire ring or ferrule, formed of interwoven strands of wire. This object has been interpreted as a probable 19th century ferrule, perhaps from a walking cane. However, it also bears a superficial similarity to Viking objects, specifically domed mounts formed of interwoven or plaited silver wire.
