A lead alloy three dimensional humanoid toy, possibly a game peice and probably dating to the early-modern period. The gaming piece takes the form of female clothed in robes and wearing a long headdress. The figure's face is well moulded and is bulbous and ugly and may have been intended to be of a monkey-like appearance. The arms are simply formed from two sticks of lead soldered to the side of the body. The underside of the object has a sub-triangular hole but this is probably as a result of manufacturing rather than being functional; the figure stands upright by its own accord. Suggestions as to possible representations of this figure have included a nun (possibly poking fun) and the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. Although its representation is uncertain it is unlikely to be of great age. Probably late 19th to 20th century AD.
