A cast lead spindle whorl of probable Medieval or later date. It is conical in form with slightly concave back face and flattened upper surface. At its centre is a large circular perforation. The exterior surfaces of the whorl appear to have slight moulded decoration, perhaps simply diagonal strokes but the precise form is uncertain due to the preservation of the object. It measures 29.26mm in diameter, 9.24mm in thickness and 35.48g in weight. This whorl is likely to date to the Medieval or later periods, perhaps c.13th-17th centuries AD.
