A complete polished flint axehead of Neolithic date. It is struck from a pale white to grey flint, is plano-convex in section, oval in form and has a crescentic blade. The axe has the remains of an all-over polish with flake rermoval at the blade end of both faces resultant from retouch or re-sharpening of the cutting edge in antiquity. This axe measures 135.82mm in length, 58.11mm in width, 37.40mm in thickness and 296.41g in weight. This axe dates to the Neolithic period, c.4000-2550 BC.
