Object type certainty: Certain

Two small copper-alloy moulded fragments.

1: 10mm in length, 14mm in width, 4mm in thickness and 2.48g in weight. This fragment is roughly rectangular in shape, and has one plain and slightly flattened, not expanded rim, on a curving body. This fragment is possibly from a socketed gouge, chisel or knife, but is too thin to be from a socketed axe. The fragment is really too small to be certain of its identification and date, but it could date to the Bronze Age.

2: This fragment is smaller and is roughly rectangular in shape, measuring 17mm in length, 15mm in width, 3mm in thickness and 4.37g in weight. It is a fragment of a thin, moulded object and its function and date are unknown.

A definite identification is difficult for both of these fragments due to their small size.
