A complete lead or lead alloy probable weight, of uncertain dating, but probably Post Medieval (AD 1500 to AD 1800).
The weight is square in shape, with a drilled central perforation. The hole has been drilled from both sides. It has an internal diameter of 2.2 mm. Both sides have inscribed decoration, both consisting of a quarter square. One side has triangles with a vertical line through in each quarter. The other side has a voided cross in the centre, with a single diagonal line in each quarter.
It measures 26.1 mm in length, 27.7 mm wide and 4.3 mm thick. It weighs 25.6 g (0.90 oz).
The weight is an off white colour, with an even surface patina.
