A cast copper alloy leg from a metal cooking vessel such as a cauldron or skillet. It has a D-shaped cross section with the flat side at the back. The back has a slight longitudinal groove. The front of the leg is decorated with five parallel longitudinal ribs with the central one being slightl wider than the others. The foot is rounded and asymmetrical from wear. It would have been one of three on a complete vessel.
