A body sherd of a Post Medieval black ware vessel, probably a type of drinking vessel. It is decorated with horizontal bands/ridges, and has a dark red slip which is glazed on the interior and exterior of the vessel. The fabric is a highly fired dark red earthenware. The sherd is in good condition with fresh breaks. It weighs 26g.
Blackware dates to the 17th to mid 18th century.
