Lead spindle whorl. Cast biconical whorl with a central moulded aperture of diameter 10.7mm. Moulded relief decoration comprises a raised rim around the aperture on one side, and a series of equidistantly spaced pellets in the equivalent position on the other. A circumferential rim between the two halves also bears similar pellets on both sides. Patinated overall. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1500-1600.
